This Learning on Location workshop will help teachers confidently teach science using the outdoors as an extension of their classrooms. Join us for all kinds of outdoor science activities that teach TEKS and academic vocabulary while making learning fun at the same time. We’ll have a working lunch, so bring a sack lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle. Dress comfortably for lots of walking and dress appropriately for the weather. You may want to also bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and insect repellant.
Audience: K-8 Science Teachers
Note: This is at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas. We’ll meet at the tables at the pavilion near the entrance. Please arrive at the pavilion by 9:00 am at the latest, or it may be difficult to find us!
