Current Drug Trends: Substance Use and Fentanyl Awareness




Counselor Initiative and Student Support (CISS) is a cooperative designed to provide high-quality services, resources and training.  CISS will serve as a vital school counselor resource with opportunities to network for discussions related to best practices, cutting edge research-based programs, and the latest updates from the Texas Education Agency regarding school counselor roles and responsibilities.


Important Session Information:


Over the years we have seen an increase in substance use among today’s youth. Those who work with grades 4-12 and their families will benefit from staying up to date on the latest drug trends. Learn how these trends affect the body physically and mentally, as well as how to recognize the signs of misuse among our children.  

Presenter: Timothy Jackson, LCDC, NTBHA OSAR Team Leader

Tim has extensive background working with those that have substance use disorder. He has been with OSAR for over 3 years and prior to that had experience working with drug offenders and judicial treatment.
