Certification

The CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training, 2nd edition course teaches staff decision-making skills to match the level of the response to the risk of the crisis, focusing on the least-restrictive response to ensure the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security of those in your care. This includes recognizing the stages of an escalating crisis and learning evidence-based techniques to appropriately de-escalate.

Finally, the participant will be able to use suitable and acceptable physical interventions to reduce or manage risk behavior, identify the impact of crisis events using post-crisis responses for personal and organizational support and learning.
