Assistive technology can be utilized to help students with significant cognitive disabilities access the curriculum. Participants in this session will have an opportunity to explore different assistive technology materials, how they can be utilized to differentiate instruction, and learn ways to incorporate them throughout the school day. There will opportunities for teachers to make materials for their students to utilize in their classrooms.
All participants will be required to fill out a photo/video release form. The session will be recorded and photos will be taken of all items created during the session to be shared with the Texas Complex Access Network for use when developing training and resources for teachers across the state.
There are two price tiers for this event
1. Region 10 public local education agencies receive free registration
2. Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $150.00
