Mental Health Training and Awareness
Supporting Students with Suicidal Ideation

Mental health professionals understand the biological, cultural, developmental, and social influences on mental and behavioral health, its impacts on learning, and evidence-based strategies to promote social–emotional functioning. Mental Health Training & Awareness supports school staff by increasing awareness and knowledge of mental health and co-occurring disorders as well as the presenting symptoms that affect an individual’s ability to thrive.

Important Session Information:

When a child tells us they are considering suicide, it should be taken seriously. In this webinar, we will review prevention/intervention approaches for youth reporting suicide ideation, how to support students who’ve made an attempt or are transitioning back to school after inpatient treatment and will discuss resources available for prevention, intervention and support for children & their families.
