Important Session Information:

MTSS Institute Presents.....(ZOOM) MTSS and the Role of the Texas Model of Comprehensive School Counseling Program with Melanie Acker

This is an exciting time for building a cohesive MTSS Framework. Often overlooked, school counselors hold a missing component to the MTSS Framework. This component, the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Program, is underutilized tool  that goes hand in hand with HB 18.

Please join Melanie Acker as she walks participants through identifying how The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Program is an integral part of the MTSS Framework as well as the steps and ideas for integrating both on your campus.

Melanie Acker is currently a 504 LEA Director and is the co-author of the Wonder Who Crew Series. She is a former elementary counselor and a campus administrator. Melanie holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Counseling. She has a love for building relationships, connecting with others, and is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Important Note:

We understand this session may conflict with state testing on some campuses. We will be offering this session via zoom as well and we will be recording the session. If you are unable to attend face to face, please register the ZOOM option. You will receive access to the session’s google folder that will include the presentation, any additional material and a copy of the recording. We hope that you will be able to join us.

We will also be offering this session during the 2020 MTSS Institute as it is an integral component of building a sustainable framework when intentionally designed.
