Whose Fault is it Anyway?
Math Pre-K thru Alg I
Share
This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
Important Session Information:
In order to fully prepare students for their future math classes, teachers must be keenly aware of those higher grade/course standards and the pre-requisite skills they require. It is important for teachers within a school or district to have conversations across grade levels in order to be on the same page when it comes to how students model with mathematics in the classroom. Participants will collaborate vertically, using manipulatives, building upon the modeling and academic language that students have done in the previous grades. Participants will breakout standards vertically developing a deeper understanding of the math TEKS progressions and analyze the vertically aligned assessment items.
