Through interactive discussions and role play activities, this course will cover essential topics of restorative practices such as repairing the harm and how the student behavior affects others. Participants will learn and understand how to facilitate open dialogue in conflicts using guided questions, the Educator/Restorative practitioner/Restorative Coordinator role in assisting individuals repair harm and rebuild relationships, and how to guide individuals in accepting responsibility for their actions.
NOTE: Restorative Practices Tier 1 Administrator: Community Building Tools is a prerequisite for this 6-hour course.
Objective: To provide participants with the basic foundational skills and knowledge of implementing Tier 1 and Tier 2 Restorative Discipline Practices; including conflict resolution through a Tier 2 Circle- repairing the harm.
