There is a Power of Unity! This symposium is designed to refuel the educator’s mind with English learner, bilingual, biliteracy, and bicultural strategies to support our growing and dynamic population! While serving English learner students is the focus of our symposium, many of the practices being showcased are applicable to ALL students. This means our symposium is being offered to many departments that include Bilingual and ESL education, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, Early Childhood, Dyslexia, and Migrant. We are excited to welcome our presenters that include Dr. Wayne Thomas, Dr. Virgina Collier, Jose Luis Orozco, and Emily Francis. Our audience will include teachers, administrators, counselors, central office administrators, paraprofessionals, parents, college students, and others wanting to attend. Professional Staff: This includes central office, campus administrators and teachers. Paraprofessional Staff: You must be currently employed by a school district, charter or private school as a Paraprofessional or Teacher assistant serving English Learners (Bilingual or ESL).
