This interactive session will take a deep dive into understanding Dyslexia and Related Disorders as a specific learning disability, outline the roles of the multidisciplinary team, overview of the FIE process, and review the two-prong requirements for eligibility for special education services. Participants will dig into a case study to learn how to gather, review interpret, and synthesize multiple sources of both formal and informal data to ensure appropriate identification, eligibility determination by an ARD Committee, and Dyslexia and Related Disorders services in the least restrictive environment.
