Mentor Teacher Training
Pathway 1 Modules 1-3




Mentor teachers will build their knowledge and skills to effectively support and coach novice teachers through a series of training sessions. Participants will learn best mentoring practices and ways to strategically implement these practices to support the growth and development of novice teachers.  Characteristics of adult learners, typical experiences of novice teachers, and intentional mentor action steps will be examined and practiced for ease of application.


Important Session Information:


Pathway 1 supports the preparation and ongoing development of mentor teachers in accordance with the Texas Mentorship Training (TMT) requirements and the Preparing and Retaining Educators through Partnerships (PREP) Program Allotment. Training focuses on building mentor capacity to support beginning teachers through evidence-based mentoring practices, aligned coaching cycles, and reflective feedback.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to confirm your district's training date and location as there are multiple dates and locations.
