Creating Engaging Pre-K Classrooms through Routines and Transitions

High-quality Early Childhood classrooms are intentionally designed to be hands-on and engaging with robust learning experiences in planned, purposeful and playful activities.

This session will provide strategies to support Early Childhood Educators in creating dynamic experiences for our youngest learners. Participants will collaborate and curate meaningful activities which are intrinsically aligned with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines

Important Session Information:

This interactive session helps prekindergarten teachers build strong classroom management by focusing on what matters most—predictable routines, thoughtful design, and engaging transitions. Participants will explore the foundations of classroom management, including how the environment and classroom setup support positive behavior and independence. Through practical examples and hands-on strategies, teachers will learn how to establish clear procedures and routines that reduce disruptions and maximize learning time. The session will also highlight fun, effective transitions and attention grabbers that keep young learners engaged, regulated, and ready to learn throughout the day.
