Restorative Practices Tier 3 Coordinator: Circles of Support & Accountability




This 6-hour training will provide clear notes, real-life examples, and detailed explanations to model effective implementation of restorative practices including a Re-Entry Circle. In addition, participants will learn to provide support and services for the student(s) who are transitioning back into the educational setting, how to write an Accountability Agreement using SMART Goals, how to monitor the Accountability Agreement with weekly check-ins, and to connect student(s) with trusted adults.

NOTE: This course has the following prerequisite courses

  • Restorative Practices Tier 1 Administrator: Community Building Tools
  • Restorative Practices Tier 2 Coordinator: Expanding Tier 1 & Repairing the Harm

Objective: To provide participants with the foundational skills and knowledge of implementing a tier 3 circle, which is to help students re-integrate back into an educational setting after a long absence.

  • Participants will learn to provide support and services for the student(s) that are transitioning back into the educational setting.
  • Participants will learn how to write an Accountability Agreement using SMART Goals.
  • Participants will monitor the Accountability Agreement with weekly check-ins.
  • Participants will learn how to connect the student(s) with a trusted adult on campus.

 


Important Session Information:


Participants will build on Tier 1 and Tier 2 training (which are prerequisites) for this training. This 6-hour training will provide clear notes, real-life examples, and detailed explanations to model effective implementation of restorative practices including a Re-Entry Circle. In addition, participants will learn to provide support and services for the student(s) who are transitioning back into the educational setting, how to write an Accountability Agreement using SMART Goals, how to monitor the Accountability Agreement with weekly check-ins, and to connect student(s) with trusted adults.

There are two price tiers for this event:

1. Region 10 public local education agencies receive free registration

2. Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $175.00
