The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) will host in-person workshops for school districts that utilize a Food Service Management Company (FSMC).

The training workshop will provide an in-depth overview of the contract management process to include solicitations and/or renewals, contract management, and contract monitoring. It is critical for the required district child nutrition specialist with child nutrition regulatory expertise and those responsible for contract oversight to attend this workshop. In the afternoon, TDA will have staff resources available to assist districts with the development of RFP documents for the 2026-2027 school term and to address any specific concerns and questions. To receive the best guidance and assistance, bring or have an ability to access your current contract, meal count data, revenue for the Child Nutrition fund, specialized specifications (if applicable), and any other provisions that you would like incorporated into your solicitation documents.

ESC Region 10 Child Nutrition courses are a valuable tool for continuing education for district staff operating Child Nutrition Programs.

There are no restrictions on attendance for district staff.
