Legal Updates for Evaluators and ARD Managers
MDR: Legal Overview

In this session recent legal updates and court cases and impact on evaluation and IEP development will be discussed by a special education attorney.

Important Session Information:

This training focuses on the legal requirements for the MDR process. Because we typically have a wide range of experience in our participants, we cover the basics, but we also discuss more tricky issues that are typically not covered in a traditional MDR training. This legal content generally takes the morning to complete.

In the afternoon, we get into the "nitty-gritty" of the actual MDR decision-making process. We discuss what data are critical to collect and then how to analyze the data to make the determination. We share some legal cases that demonstrate the hearing officers' ruling on what manifestation means legally.

There are two price tiers for this event
