During this training, we will go through 1 course developed by the Texas Sped Support. This course aligns with the Texas Sped Support Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities and addresses strategies applicable to one or more of the Rubric of Effective Practices Indicators. This training was created to support a standard of high-quality instruction for students with significant cognitive disabilities and to have educators consider what adaptations may be necessary to support students with significant cognitive disabilities accessing the curriculum and educational environment. This session will go through 1 of the Rubric of Effective Practices courses. This is a follow-up to the August 7th session covering 3 of the Rubric of Effective Practices courses. A virtual sessions will be held on September 4th to cover the 1 remaining course in this series.
