Child Nutrition Programs (NSLP)
ISNLP - Meal Modification




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


Participants will accomplish the following objectives.

  1. Identify major legislation related to disabilities.
  2. Identify food safety and financial considerations related to meal modifications.
  3. List required components of the medical statement.
  4. Identify common dietary modifications.
  5. Describe effective and appropriate interactions between school nutrition staff and students with disabilities and their care givers.

Please Note: Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
