Child Nutrition Programs (NSLP)
Meal Pattern




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


This course aims to teach operators of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and Afterschool Care Program (ASCP) basic meal pattern knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to run effective and compliant programs, including offer vs. serve requirements and reimbursable meals. The information presented covers Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10 of the Administrator’s Reference Manual (ARM).

Please Note:

  • Bring a lunch as we will work through the lunch hour.
  • Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
