Child Nutrition Programs (NSLP)
Procurement of Vended Contracts




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


Participants will develop a 4-step action plan to implement at their School Food Authority or 
organization to conduct self-checks of current or future formal contracts for consultants, vended meal services, and food service management companies. Participants will learn about the documentation requirements needed to provide during a Procurement Review when procuring a food service contractor or vendor, as well as top-findings.

Please Note: Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
