Child Nutrition Programs (NSLP)
NSLP Seamless Summer Option




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


This course provides a comprehensive overview of the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program, a streamlined approach to feeding children during summer months. It covers key areas including eligibility and application requirements, program awareness strategies, meal service guidelines, reimbursement procedures, monitoring and compliance standards, and training and professional development resources.

USDA Key Areas 1000 (Nutrition), 2000 (Operations), 3000 (Administration), & 4000 (Communications and Marketing)

Please Note: Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
