Child Nutrition Programs (NSLP)
USDA Foods




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


This session guides the participant through the foundational elements of successfully operating the Food Distribution Program within a School Food Authority.  Participants will be able to 1)Identify available USDA Entitlement Foods 2) Understand how USDA Entitlement is calculated and distributed 3) Learn methods to track entitlement dollars and food 4) Know how to maximize entitlement dollars.

Please Note: Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
