Creating Innovators: GT 6-Hour Update Book Study




Explores what parents, teachers, and employers must do to develop the capacities of young people to become innovators. In profiling compelling young American innovators, the book reveals how the adults in their lives nurtured their creativity and sparked their imaginations, while teaching them to learn from failures and persevere. Play, passion, and purpose: These are the forces that drive young innovators. Participants will learn about the common traits of innovators, how they were shaped, and what motivates them. Innovative teaching methods to develop creativity and innovation in GT students will be presented.

**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**

Play, passion, and purpose: These are the forces that drive young innovators. Participants will learn about the common traits of innovators, how they were shaped, and what motivates them. innovative teaching methods to develop creativity and innovation in GT students will be presented.

This session is an asynchronous learning opportunity. Content will be shared via Google site and an application of learning and reflection will be submitted for credit. Submissions will be due no later than November 30, 2025, at midnight. Certificates will be granted one week after the final due date of the session.

You will need a copy of the book Creating Innovators: The Making of Young People Who Will Change the World by Tony Wagner.
