All new and returning Head Start staff

This training includes compliance and Active Supervision training. The format is virtual, and you will need internet and device access.

The virtual professional development day focuses on compliance requirements and the completion of required training for Head Start/Early Head Start teachers. Guided by the standards of the Head Start Program, the session emphasized the importance of maintaining compliance, accountability, safety, and program integrity.  The training will outline expectations for completing required certifications and online modules on time to ensure readiness for the school year.  Overall, the session will provide teachers with a clear understanding of required training and compliance responsibilities, helping them feel prepared, informed, and equipped to meet program standards effectively.

The morning will begin with a live session provided by the Region 10 Education team, followed by break-out groups where the requirements for remote learning will be outlined. Time will then be allotted to complete on-line compliance modules and necessary forms for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Region 10 staff will be available in-person and virtually throughout the day to support learning and answer questions. Professional development hours will be granted with the completion and uploading of all required certificates and forms. 

While this day is designed to be a remote learning day, participants are welcome to attend in-person if preferred or necessary for internet access.
