Content Day Summer 2026 Professional Development

Format: On-site, In-person, Face-to Face 

Who: Teachers, instructional assistants, and floaters who are new to Region 10 Head Start programs.

This professional development is designed to provide teachers with a flexible, choice-based learning experience tailored to their individual interests and classroom needs. Aligned with the mission of the Head Start Program, the day emphasizes continuous professional growth and high-quality early childhood education practices. Teachers have the opportunity to select from a variety of sessions covering key early childhood topics such as classroom management, social-emotional development, early literacy, language development, and family engagement. This personalized approach allowed educators to focus on areas most relevant to their current skill level and professional goals.  Sessions are grounded in developmentally appropriate practices, reinforcing the importance of intentional teaching, inclusive environments, and culturally responsive interactions. Teachers engaged in interactive discussions, practical strategies, and real-world applications that they can implement directly in their classrooms.

Join us at the Region 10 Spring Valley building for a face-to-face learning experience. We will dive deep into Head Start program standards and discover developmentally appropriate practices that will set you on a path to success for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.
