Global Classroom is an annual summer educator workshop that aims to provide a global component to teachers' current curriculum through discussion, speaker sessions, free resources, and group activities.
The purpose of Global Classroom is to help North Texas educators make connections between local and global issues by navigating the plethora of global resources available to them.
This workshop is open to 5th - 12th grade educators of any subject who reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Includes mini-workshops from organizations like Peace Corps, Asia Society, Population Connection, AFS, Braver Angels, Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, etc. We ask that you bring a laptop or device and can easily access your course TEKS.
The event will award 25 PD hours approved by TEA.
Four international lunches are provided.
A $25 Amazon gift card is awarded to each participant at the end of the training.
