The Region 10 ESC STEM Cohort 2024-2025
Deadline to pay for your registration for certification is 9/30/2024
STEM CERTIFICATION-
Participants will engage in an online program to earn their National Certification in STEM Teaching (NCST), supported by a dedicated coach throughout the process. Additionally, the cohort will meet in person four times this year at various regional locations, including Frontiers of Flight (Fall), the National Video Game Museum (Winter), and the Dallas Arboretum (Spring). A summer meeting will be scheduled and announced for the final day of our Summer Institute (TBD). The entire schedule can be found here and is subject to change as we add more opportunities to our ESC calendar.
The Summer Institute is a three-day training session valued at $150 and is included in the certification registration. It is not a requirement they attend. However, this is the Statewide STEM training from the Texas Education Agency and is based on our Texas State STEM Initiative. There will be additional sessions on the schedule that certification candidates are encouraged to attend if they can. Participants also will receive a professional learning STEM book to enhance and support their STEM instructional practices throughout the 2024-2025 cohort period.
To celebrate their achievements, participants who earn their NCST will be invited to attend the Texas EcosySTEM Exchange in September 2025, where they will participate in a "White Coat" ceremony to commemorate their journey to becoming nationally certified teachers. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to dive deep into STEM learning!
If your district would pay for this STEM certification in the new budget year 2024-2025 please enter 24-25 budget in the PO field.
