PBIS Cohort Description:
The PBIS Cohort offers a comprehensive exploration of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) within the context of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The initial session serves as a foundational overview, delving into the pivotal role of PBIS in creating a positive school environment. As we progress through subsequent sessions, the focus will shift towards equipping participants with the essential knowledge, resources, and materials needed to establish a robust foundation for the implementation of a school-wide PBIS framework. The emphasis throughout will be on fidelity to data-driven processes, ensuring a well-informed and effective approach to fostering positive behavior across the school community
The PBIS Cohort is designed to provide a foundational overview of positive behavior interventions and supports and the role of PBIS in an MTSS system. This will lead to a series of sessions geared at providing the knowledge, resources, and materials to build a strong foundation for implementation of a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports framework with fidelity based on data-driven processes.
This cohort has content that builds upon each session, so you will need to attend the first session and prior sessions to each day. It is recommended that at least 2 members of your district and/or campus attend this cohort.
The first session will cover begin to build a strong foundation for implementation of a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework with fidelity based on a data-driven process. Additional sessions will focus on Partnering with Families and Social and Personal Competencies, Universal Examples of PBIS Implementation, overview of Restorative Practices, Targeted PBIS Implementation, Trauma Sensitive Schools, and Intensive PBIS Implementation.
