World Languages
Planning with a Purpose Spring 2025
Share
This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist World Language (LOTE) educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
Important Session Information:
Communication involves purpose. Why are you having students communicating in your classroom? Chances are, if it is simply to ‘practice the language to get better’ not much communication is happening. Adding a purpose behind what you are doing in the classroom not only creates a more fully communicative environment, but can also create an environment that is more compelling to your students. This one day session looks at methods and strategies that will help you create powerful lessons that not only move the needle with language proficiency, but also help develop intercultural competency.
