Medical Conference for OTs and PTs
Fall 2024




Medical knowledge, surgical techniques and post-op care are constantly changing. It is important for occupational and physical therapists who work in the school setting to keep informed of these changes. Children with special needs and their families must contend with many different issues and challenges over the course of their lifetime. This conference is intended to help related services providers stay informed on the latest research and best practice interventions.

Important Session Information:


In the morning, Dr Layne Pethick, PhD. will present: 

It’s All About the Brain: This session will discuss the impact that past and current brain research has on our children and adolescents. Topics will include learning, behavior, movement/exercise, diet, technology, trauma, and more! This interactive session will have brain activities, interventions, supports, and laughter. Participants are encouraged to have fun while they learn!

Doctors from the UTSW pediatric rehab team will present in the afternoon. Agenda.

There are two price tiers for this event:

1.  Region 10 public local education agencies receive free registration

2.  Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $175.00
