Sheltered Instruction




This learning opportunity will provide content and learning strategies to support educators serving Emerging Bilingual students in the English as a Second Language program (ESL).

Important Session Information:


This session is being hosted by Forney ISD but open for any LEAs. Region 10 will handle registration and attendance.

The purpose of this session is to give teachers a deeper understanding and adequately prepare them to implement the components of sheltered instruction in their classrooms. The training will demonstrate strategies that make subject matter concepts comprehensible to English language learners while promoting the students' English language development. Using highly-engaging techniques, teachers will gain firsthand knowledge in making their content comprehensible to their ELs.

***Please note the pricing structure for this session:

1.    Members of the Region 10 English Learner Support Services and Title III SSA EL Support Services Package and R10 staff receive free registration.

2.     Out of Region staff who are NOT members of the Region 10 English Learner and Title III SSA Services Package will have a fee of $150.00.

            Discounts will be reflected at checkout.
