AWS Welding




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:


Day 1: Basic Welder Qualification- Classroom Essential elements of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, Oxy Fuel Welding and Cutting

Day 2: Basic Welder Qualification - Classroom Basic TEA welder certifications, how to conduct, log in, submit and view certifications. AWS D1.1 Tack, AWS D9.1 Fillet Testing, AWD D1.1 and ASME BPV Code Fillet Testing Basic weld inspection tools, (provided) Fillet size and Undercut Gauges Other certifications in AWS SENSE and AWS Certified Welder, how to obtain.

Day 3: Advanced & Basic Welder Qualification- Welding Shop- Hands on Teacher practice, testing and certification of AWS D1.1 and AWS D9.1 welder Qual Tests.
