The ‘Me Decade’ of the 1970s was more than disco, bell bottoms, and Star Wars. The Vietnam War continued surrounded by violent university protests. The economy will tank midst an oil embargo and energy crisis. American were held hostage in Iran for 444 days. Social change will grow in civil and women’s rights and 18 year olds vote. Three Presidents will serve; one will resign in disgrace and two will valiantly try to regain the country’s trust. Join us as we unpack this tumultuous decade. Using discussion and primary documents, the Professor will facilitate the conversation instead of lecturing. Registrants are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions.
