World War II was the largest and deadliest conflict in human history and one of the most consequential events in the history of the world. This seminar will focus on the crucial role that America played in the war, examining the country’s global strategy for fighting the war, with a special emphasis on interactions with allies and the dilemmas of fighting a war on two fronts. Using discussion and primary documents, the professor will facilitate the conversation instead of lecturing. Registrants are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions.
Notes:This session is being presented by Teaching American History and is being held at the National Aviation Education Center.
