Program Planning & Documenting Progress training from the Tx Sensory Support Network (TxSSN)




Active Learning is an instructional approach for students with significant cognitive disabilities or sensory impairments and complex access needs. This session will go over information related to implementing the Active Learning approach.

Important Session Information:


In this session participants will learn how to use information from the Functional Scheme when developing students' Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Participants will discuss how to develop activities that allow the education staff to observe and collect data on students' progress for IEP goals and academic curriculum. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss different methods of documenting progress to share with parents and the ARD committee.

There are two price tiers for this event 1. Region 10 public local education agencies receive free registration. 2. Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $150.
