Organization is essential to ensuring a special education classroom runs smoothly. Using containers such as boxes can help keep all materials necessary for an activity together while allowing them to be stored away until needed. They can facilitate ease with creating and conducting routines with the items and make it easy for various educators to use with a student or even for the student to utilize independently. The containers might also allow for more active participation in the activity by engaging in steps of the routine or task, such as taking out the items in order or putting them away when finished. During this session, classroom educators and related service providers will have an opportunity to explore a few types of boxes: conversation boxes, sensory boxes, story boxes and task boxes and discuss how they can be utilized in instruction and monitoring progress. There are two price tiers for this training; the $150 registration fee will be waived for members of Region 10 LEAs during checkout.
