Teaching Free Enterprise w/ SMU Cox/Bridwell Institute




This Social Studies professional learning opportunity will provide support with implementing the Social Studies TEKS, research-based instructional strategies focused on inquiry, historical thinking, future-ready learning, and access to quality resources targeted to provide support for all secondary courses (grades 6-12).

Important Session Information:


Join Region 10 and the SMU Cox Bridwell Institute for a day of learning as we immerse ourselves in four modules related to the interaction of public policy and the economy.  Teachers will get a chance to learn from two speakers from Southern Methodist University and will be introduced to four different modules that can be taken back into the Economics classroom.  The four topics for this session include:  Environmental Economics, Markets and Governments, Taxation and Public Finance, and the Economic Freedom of North America.  Lunch will be provided.
