Technology and Mental Health
Technology is a nonnegotiable in today's ever-changing world, but too much of a good thing can become very unhealthy. There is often a sense of helplessness surrounding healthy technology use as people struggle to find self-control with their devices. Many of us have told ourselves that we will make more time for things we actually want to do, only to be scrolling minutes later. Helping teens and young adults navigate this landscape can be difficult since most adults are also trying to find the right balance for themselves. We will walk through the many aspects of technology and how it is impacting our mental health as a society, especially for teens and young adults.
- In this presentation participants will learn the types of technology available today.
- Participants will learn about the increase in anxiety among teens
- Participants will learn the adoption of mental health language into popular culture.
