In this session, participants will explore intentional practices to address assessed TEKS on the RLA STAAR extended constructed response (ECR). Additionally, participants will utilize scoring guides from TEA to evaluate and guide student writing growth. Participants should bring samples of their own students’ writing so that they can, while collaborating with colleagues in the room, analyze writing trends aligned to the STAAR rubrics, and review best practices for continued writing instruction.
