Child Nutrition Programs (SFSP)
Annual 6Hr Training




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts and non-profit organizations in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.

Summer Food Service Program: Putting the Pieces Together 6-Hour Classroom Training

This training provides current and returning Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsors with program information to assist with a successful program operation.  The following five SFSP topic areas will be covered –program basics, site operations, program finances, meal service, and program operations.  The training is intended for program directors, program supervisors, program managers, and food service supervisors operating SFSP, and fulfills the Texas Department of Agriculture’s SFSP Sponsor training requirement.
