ELAR K-5
Teaching Reading IS Science! The Science of Teaching Reading Independent Exploration Asynchronous

Region 10 ELAR offerings promote integrated reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking for TEKS-based instruction utilizing authentic reading and reflective writing.

Important Session Information:

Learning to talk and understand spoken language is a natural process; however, research supports the fact that learning to read is not. Although learning to read appears to be effortless for some, many struggle to read words and/or comprehend text.  In this session, participants will gain an understanding of the science behind teaching students to read. After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the Google site that houses all the course materials. The course work is due by December 5, 2022
