Literacy at the Crossroads—Developing Student Communication Skills through Art Exploration




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.


Important Session Information:


How is art related to reading and writing? Join Region 10 to explore the Meadows Museum’s exhibitions and how art can art can support literacy in the classroom. Participants will be guided through gallery discussions and activities related to the museum’s collections and special exhibition Dalí/Vermeer: A Dialogue. Each activity will provide you with methods for increasing students’ reading, writing, and verbal expression skills.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT

  1. REGION 10 FINE ARTS COOPERATIVE AND WORLD LANGUAGES MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION
  2. IN-REGION/OUT OF REGION, NON-COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $100.

           DISCOUNTS WILL BE REFLECTED AT CHECKOUT.
