5 Kinds of Nonfiction Book Study (asynchronous)
When we think of promoting pleasure reading or trying to select our next read-aloud, our adult brains often immediately think of fiction titles. But children love nonfiction just as much as - if not more than - fiction. In this self-paced book study, you will read and respond to 5 Kinds of Nonfiction: Enriching Reading and Writing Instruction with Children’s Books by Melissa Stewart and Marlene Correia. Learn new ways to think about and promote nonfiction reading and writing in your classroom, library, or school. Upon successful completion of the course, 6 hours of CPE credit will be awarded.
