In this session, participants will explore instructional implications of the RLA STAAR Redesign for the 2023 school year. The RLA assessment redesign introduces a number of new question types meant to more closely align to the types of activities and thinking students experience in the classroom on a daily basis. In addition to considering the cognitive rigor of classroom applications, participants will also evaluate sample constructed prompts and create both short and extended constructed prompts to elicit student responses.
