Materials and Documenting Progress




Active Learning is an instructional approach for students with significant cognitive disabilities or sensory impairments and complex access needs. This session will go over information related to implementing the Active Learning approach.

Important Session Information:


In this session participants will learn how to select materials to use in an Active Learning instructional approach based on their learner's skills and preferences, and how to develop activities that will allow the education staff to observe and collect data on students' progress IEP goals and academic curriculum. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss different methods of documenting progress to share with parents and the ARD committee.
