Learning on Location: Academics Outdoors
The Academics Outdoors Experience at Camp James Ray

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Have you heard about Region 10’s Academics Outdoors program and wondered what it’s all about? Are you interested in using the great outdoors as a classroom for your students? Come join us and learn all about how Region 10 can help you accomplish just that in any outdoor setting! You’ll learn what our Academics Outdoors program is all about, how to extend learning to the natural world, you’ll get to experience lessons from our Teacher Guides and Student Journals, and you’ll have time to explore the camp and think about how you can take your students outside to learn.

Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and lots of walking! Bring a bottle of water and a snack if you’d like. Sunscreen is recommended, and some people like to use insect repellent.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT

  1. REGION 10 INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES, ACADEMICS OUTDOORS, AND CURRICULUM SUPPORT MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION
  2. IN-REGION/OUT OF REGION, NON-COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $100.
