for a two-day Pediatric Physical Assessment Skills Class.

Upon successful completion of the presentation the participant will:

  1. Understand general concepts and guidelines of pediatric physical assessment.
  2. Evaluate the role of family assessment, cultural considerations, and communication in the care of children and adolescents.
  3. Examine pediatric physical assessment techniques by body system.
  4. Identify signs and symptoms of disorders commonly seen in the school setting.
  5. Understand red flags for child maltreatment and neglect.
  6. Apply pediatric physical assessment techniques learned in the skills lab
