Library Services
Developing Digital Detectives Book Study

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**

Information literacy is becoming increasingly important, and ALL educators should be invested in helping our students become more information-savvy. In this self-paced course, you will explore one chapter per week of Jennifer LaGarde and Darren Hudgins’ terrific book Developing Digital Detectives. At the end of the study, you should have a better understanding of information literacy as well as how to pass your new knowledge on to students. This course is most suitable for those who work with learners in grades 4-12, but there will be content for those who work with younger grade levels. Upon successful completion of the course, 6 hours of CPE credit will be awarded.

Session opens on June 6 and closes on July 15.

There are two price tiers for this event:

  1. Members of the Region 10 Library Services Package receive free registration.
  2. R10 teachers and Out of Region teachers who are not members of the Region 10 Library Services Package pay $150.00.

Discounts will be reflected at checkout.

If paying by purchase order, please email a copy of purchase order to Amy.johnson@region10.org or fax a copy of PO to Amy Johnson at (972) 348-1525.
