**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**
In this virtual, synchronous workshop, World Language (LOTE) educators will (re)connect with and (re)examine three high leverage teaching practices that will help them start the year off strong: planning with backward design, facilitating target language comprehension and guiding students to interpret authentic texts. During the workshop, teachers will attend three, short synchronous zoom sessions, lasting about thirty to forty-five minutes, to learn about specific teacher moves needed to enact each of the high leverage teaching practices. During the zoom sessions, participants will have off-screen time to apply their learning by completing three mini-tasks, such as but not limited to taking a short quiz or writing a lesson. This workshop will help teachers develop skills in T-TESS Dimension 1, Planning, and T-TESS Dimension 2, Instruction.
