OT PT Continuing Education Series
Deciding Need and Amount of School-based OT and PT Services




Sessions to cover various topics of Occupational and Physical Therapists working in the school setting. Specific topics will be indicated in the Subtitles of the session.

Important Session Information:


Speakers: Carlo Vialu, PT, MBA, Peggy Morris, OTD, OTR/L, BCP

Carlo will start the day with an evidence-informed decision-making tool for determining the student’s need for OT or PT services under IDEA. He will then provide you with guidance on important considerations for deciding the amount of services. Finally, Peggy will share with you a Clinical Reasoning Model to help you support with evidence your recommendations of either direct or indirect service delivery model. Multiple case studies throughout the day will demonstrate application of these tools. Please bring your own case studies for our discussions. You will leave the course with evidence-informed tools and strategies that will help you present school-based OT and PT recommendations with confidence!
