Texas School Mental Health Framework and Resources for Counselors




Counselor Initiative and Student Support (CISS) is a cooperative designed to provide high-quality services, resources and training.  CISS will serve as a vital school counselor resource with opportunities to network for discussions related to best practices, cutting edge research-based programs, and the latest updates from the Texas Education Agency regarding school counselor roles and responsibilities.


Important Session Information:


Comprehensive School Mental Health Systems is an emerging topic for Texas Schools. In this session, participants will learn about the foundational features of the Texas School Mental Health Framework. Participants will collaborate to identify successful initiatives and programming currently in their LEAs, as well as problem solving barriers. Resources will be provided to help students with mental health challenges. Please join us for this informative session that will also include topics such as screening, awareness, prevention, intervention, and treatment.
